This blog is written entirely by Kat Buckley (aka The Baking Explorer) and was started in August 2012. As well as running my blog, I have a full time job in the financial industry. I live in Manchester and my other hobbies include crafting, film & TV, travelling and spending time with friends. I’m also currently expecting my first baby! He’s due January 2019.
All the recipes on this blog are home made in my kitchen. I aim to bring you achievable bakes that you can see yourself producing in your kitchen too. I like things to look good, but also look fun and home made. I’m learning every step of the way and want you to join in!
In the past three years I’ve started learning a lot about the meat and dairy industry so I don’t eat meat anymore. Some of my older posts may feature meat, but no new ones will. I’ve also been exploring non-dairy options so you’ll see more vegan friendly recipes from me too.
I recommend products on this blog because in my own opinion I am satisfied with the product and want to tell people about it. Even if I’ve been sent the product for free, it is always my honest opinion and I am not obliged to write a positive review. Everything I write is my own opinion and experience.
