Line a 8" square tin with greaseproof paper. I grease the tin first with a little butter to help the paper stick to it
Put the condensed milk, dark chocolate and milk chocolate in a pan and melt together on a low heat, stirring together as it melts
Once it's fully melted and combined, take the pan off the heat and stir in the icing sugar
Put half of the mixture into the tin, smooth it down, and press some of the Terry's Chocolate Orange pieces into it
Put the rest of the fudge mixture over the top, and smooth down
Melt the white chocolate and colour it bright orange with the food colouring. Add blobs to the top of the fudge and use a cocktail stick to swirl it around
Then add the rest of the Terry's Chocolate Orange pieces on top, breaking them in half if needed and pressing them in
Add some sprinkles if you like, then put in the fridge overnight, or for 3-4 hours to set
Remove from the tin and slice into pieces to serve. Store in the fridge for 2-3 weeks
Notes
You can make this fudge with any combination of milk and dark chocolate, as long as the total amount is the same. You can also make it with all dark or all milk chocolate.
I recommend using regular chocolate, not baking or cooking chocolate. I like to use Callebaut chocolate, but I also regularly use supermarket brands to keep costs down.
Make sure to sieve your icing sugar, this is to stop any big lumps of it in the finished fudge.
Make sure you are using sweetened condensed milk for this recipe. Evaporated milk will not work.
I don't add orange extract to this recipe as it already tastes very orangey with the chocolate orange pieces throughout it. However you may like to add 1 tsp of it to the fudge mixture for an extra orange flavour hit.
Although I provide cup measurements, I highly recommend weighing your ingredients out using digital kitchen scales. It is the most accurate way to measure ingredients and will ensure the best results. Digital scales are very low cost and can be purchased for around £12 ($16.50) .
For teaspoon (tsp) and tablespoon (tbsp) measurements, please use measuring spoons and not the type of spoons you eat with. Again this will ensure accuracy and provide the best results.
